“I have no idea what my legacy will be, I’ll have to let someone else decide that,” a typical low key comment from the man known as “The King of Country” George Strait.

Strait will release album number 38 on August 11th, Twang.

Selling a whopping 67 million albums and countless singles, he has become the tenth best selling artist of all-time.

The 57 year old two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year winner says this album was special because he actually co-wrote some of the songs with his son, Bubba.

“I had a great time writing this album,” stated Strait in a Yahoo.com interview, “I am gonna continue from now on.”

Son Bubba and Strait, along with legendary songwriter Dean Dillon, wrote Living For The Night.

He said his son inspired him to write by starting to write for his dad. George was a little concerned about writing.

“I knew Dean was a great songwriter, it was me and Bubba I was worried about.”

Straight and his son contributed to three of the album’s songs while Dillon and his daughter Jessie Jo co-wrote on the record also.

The Breath You Take was co-written by the duo along with Casey Beathard.

The album also features the first song George has recorded entirely in Spanish, El Rey.

Strait will be live in concert shortly before his release. He takes the stage in Houston, Texas this Saturday in Reliant Stadium.

Tickets are available for as low as $48 at www.BubbasGotTickets.com.

“When I get off of work on Friday after working like a dog all week,” Strait sings, “I need a little Twang.”

We all look forward to his latest gift to country music fans due in stores next Tuesday.
